What kind of riders are best suited to board their horses at Stoke Farm?
We are primarily geared towards fox hunters, but all types of riders are welcome.  

What kinds of horse care do you offer?
Field Care and several levels of Full Stall Care.  Please contact us for more information. 

Do you offer any additional services?
We can arrange for Clipping, Mane Pulling, Braiding, and Trailering for an additional fee.  

Do you board retired horses?
We are not currently boarding retired horses, but our other family farm, Welbourne has a wonderful retired horse program. 

What is your connection to fox hunting?
Stoke is an original fixture of the Orange County Hunt and continues to host the hunt each season.  We believe fox hunting is a critical component of preserving Virginia's remaining open space and uniting the country community.  Eleanor and Dulany are active members of both the Orange County Hunt and the Piedmont Hunt.  The Piedmont Hunt was also founded by Dulany's great-great-great-grandfather, Colonel Richard Henry Dulany in 1840.

Can boarders bring their dogs?
Dogs are allowed on a case by case basis.  The dog must be cat friendly to be considered
